COURSE TIME REQUIREMENTS & TIMERS
• The course includes 24 hours of state-mandated content, aligned with the Ohio Driver Training Curriculum.
• 24 hours is the minimum course time requirement; there is no maximum.
• All coursework, including the Final Exam, must be completed within 180 days of beginning the course.
• If the course is not completed within this timeframe, you will be required to restart the course, and a reinstatement fee of $49.50 will apply.
Five timers are built into this course:
1. Login Time – Total time you are logged into the course, regardless of work completed.
2. Course Time – Time spent actively completing the course content (reading, watching videos, or taking Quizzes/Tests). Being logged in without working does not count.

4. Daily Time Limit – You may complete a maximum of 4 hours of training per calendar day. After 4 hours, the system will log you out, and you may resume the next day.
5. Idle Time Setting – If there is 15 minutes of inactivity, the system will log you out. Idle time does not count toward your course time.
COURSE TIME VS LOGIN TIME
Course Time is the only time that counts toward Ohio's required 24 hours of Online Driver Education. Course Time is ACTIVE participation (completing pages, quizzes/tests, videos, etc.).
Login Time is any time you are logged in. Being logged in without completing coursework does not count toward the 24-hour requirement.
*A countdown timer on the Welcome Page displays the number of days remaining to complete the course. If the timer reaches zero, the course will be locked, and you will be required to restart from the beginning. A reinstatement fee of $49.50 will apply.
